Oh my lord friends... Its been 42 days. Good to see you. I'll share a story...
We were really busy yesterday... Sick people, it was rough. I got a txt during the controlled chaos from sandy. I expressed my concerns, and her simple yet effective reply was "Just do your best. In the end its not up to you."
That put a smile on my face. We wound up intubating the lady and got her pressure back up. When i left late last night, i was still bummed. My coach said what are you upset for? She's alive!
She was right! Paramedic wise, saves were few and far between. Last night feels pretty good. Thank you God!

Very nice. guess you gotta get used to people clinging to a thread. All the same, you'll probably get to see more miracles in your career than most of will witness in a lifetime.
...then you dig in her pocket and find the dnr/dni paper. That's cool, dude. You should feel good. You don't work in an er or the card floor to deal with the healthy 'uns. Good work, soldier.
